Description
Capacitive voltage transformers separate measuring instruments, counters, relays, protections, etc. from the high voltage circuit. and reduce the stresses to manageable values proportional to the original primaries. Additionally, they offer the possibility of transmitting high frequency signals through high voltage lines.
Coupling capacitors serve only as coupling of high-frequency communication signals and correspond to the capacitive part of a capacitive voltage transformer.
