Description
The isolator counts the operations of the protective equipment after detecting a failure condition. After a selected number of openings of the associated protection equipment and when it is open, the isolator opens and isolates the failed section of the line.
This operation allows the protective equipment to close and restore service in fault-free zones. If the failure is temporary, the isolator’s operation mechanism should be automatically reset after a preset time.
